I’m Steph, the founder of Mountain and Moon Healing. A curious soul who found peace on the yoga mat and calm in the gentle hum of Reiki energy. My path to healing wasn’t neat or straightforward. It’s been messy, slow, and full of learning to be kind to myself when life feels overwhelming. I’m passionate about creating a space where you don’t have to be “perfect” or “flexible”, where you can just be exactly who you are. When I’m not rolling out my mat, you might find me exploring the world, getting lost in fiction books, or hanging out with animals. I believe healing lives in the everyday moments; breathing deeply, feeling the earth beneath your feet, and choosing gentle self-care.
The first time I truly experienced yoga beyond the āsanas (physical poses) was in a class near my college. We practiced prāṇāyāma (regulation of breath) and connected inward, and week after week I left feeling more in tune with my inner world. That sense of connection sparked a passion for exploring yoga and its philosophy, a curiosity that continues to guide me today.I teach to offer a space where others can explore, connect, and relax safely. I hope my classes and Reiki sessions feel warm, cozy, and welcoming. A place where people can be themselves, be authentic, and feel seen and accepted. With a calm, supportive energy I guide students with choice-based modifications and approachable yogic philosophy, creating a space to move, breathe, and feel at ease.
I am a certified 200-hour yoga teacher as well as a Level Two Reiki practitioner. I enjoy teaching gentle, Yin, Hatha, and Yoga Nidra practices. My approach combines movement, breath, and energy work to create accessible practices that meet each student where they are in the moment. I’m currently continuing my studies in meditation and somatic healing to deepen the ways I can support others on their path.
My classes and sessions are gentle, supportive, and inclusive. I aim to create a space where every body and every identity feels welcome. Whether through yoga, Reiki, or meditation, my hope is you leave feeling calm, connected, and a little more at home in yourself. You are always welcome here; whether you join a class, book a Reiki session, or simply pause for a moment of stillness.

Mountain and Moon Healing’s logo is a map of my roots. At its center is Snake Mountain in Vermont, where I grew up. A place of stillness, breath, and quiet becoming. This outline grounds me. It’s my reminder of home.Above the mountain, the sky holds three constellations, ones my mom used to tell stories about as we camped beneath the stars:• Cassiopeia - the queen placed in the sky for her pride. A symbol of cycles, reflection, and the stories we carry and transform over time.• Canis Major - the loyal guardian. Watchful and devoted. A constellation of intuition, inner knowing, and the truths we carry even when the path isn’t clear.• Lepus - the hare. A creature of movement and transformation.Together, the dog and the hare exist in an endless celestial chase, not meant to meet, but never still. Their motion is a mirror: we are always chasing something. Healing, clarity, becoming. Reinventing ourselves with each return. And behind it all, the moon rises. Soft, steady, and luminous. A quiet guide through every phase. It reminds me that healing doesn’t happen all at once. It moves in cycles. It asks us to return, to reflect, to soften, and to begin again.Mountain and Moon Healing was born from those nights. Where earth met sky, where stories lived in the stars, and where the light landed gently on who we were becoming. This logo came to life through the brilliant heart of Bre at brelegan.com!

Hatha Flow: Mindful Movement
Hatha Flow invites you to move with awareness, connecting body and breath throughout the practice. We begin by practicing prāṇāyāma (regulation of breath), which then flows into each āsana (physical pose). Each pose is held for several breaths to explore alignment and deepen presence. With mindful transitions and intentional movement, this practice builds gentle strength, balance, and awareness, honoring your body’s rhythm and supporting steadiness and ease exactly where you are.Gentle Yoga: Slow & Supportive
Gentle Yoga invites you to slow down and move with presence. This class focuses on accessible postures that encourage connection with your body and breath. It’s open to all levels; perfect for beginners, seniors, or those returning to practice after injury. Expect calm, supportive movement, and breathwork that help you leave feeling relaxed, centered, and nourished.Yin Yoga: Deep Release
Yin Yoga invites stillness, offering a meditative space to slow down and reconnect with your inner world. Each āsana (physical pose) is held for between 3-5 minutes, gently stretching connective tissues, quieting the mind, and encouraging deep release. This practice balances more active movement and nurtures introspection, steadiness, and ease.Yoga Nidra: Guided Rest
Also known as “yogic sleep”, Yoga Nidra is a guided meditation typically practiced lying down (but can be practiced seated!). Through breath awareness and visualization, it invites deep rest, stress relief, and clarity. Each session is an opportunity to soften into stillness and reconnect with yourself.

Distance Reiki: Energy Healing
A gentle energy healing practice that supports balance, relaxation, and emotional well-being; no matter where you are!
